Why do our tours cost less than others?
Since our founding in 1997, Canyon Ministries has always been first and foremost a ministry in operation and purpose. Because of this, we strive to make our Grand Canyon tours as affordable as possible for everyone who comes our way.
When comparing small group tours of similar type, you’ll find we provide more hours and more experiences for considerably less than others, making us the cheapest Grand Canyon tour option out there.
In addition to this, Canyon Ministries is the ONLY tour company at the Grand Canyon to offer Rim Tours, Hiking Tours, River Trips, and Backpacking Trips. We think this makes us pretty unique in all we do!
With award-winning 5-star reviews from Tripadvisor (the world’s largest travel review site), making us one of the top 10% of all attractions worldwide and the #1 rated Christian tour in America, we strive to serve all our guests with a spirit of excellence in all we do. For ultimately, we serve our Creator God in everything we strive toward.
We hope you’ll take some time to view the various trips, tours, and adventures we have created that are designed to showcase the glory of God at the Grand Canyon and open your heart and mind to both His Word and His World.
Why Do We Wear Gold?
For over a decade, we have been doing tours at the south rim of the Grand Canyon. Park employees as well as the other tour companies notice our presence. We’ve been told by park rangers how much they enjoy seeing our groups and guides out there on our various tours.
We are excited to know how we conduct ourselves and the way we treat our guests is standing out in good ways within the greater Grand Canyon community.
However, there is another feature spotlighting our presence—the gold shirts.
The gold stands out for our guests as something easy to see and has become our signature look within the Grand Canyon National Park. However, the significance of the gold runs much deeper.
Our citizenship is in heaven. This is not our home. Our feet were made to walk golden streets when this temporary life has passed.
The gold on our shirts reminds us that we work for an eternal kingdom that will not rust or crumble.
We have been called and equipped to be the light of the world. We strive by the Spirit’s power to stand as a beacon of hope and redemption in a dark world. As stars in the universe, we desire to make our light visible.
The gold reminds us that we bring the light of truth, joy, and love to the Grand Canyon.
The gospel is a treasure much more valuable than gold. God’s Word is a gift to be cherished and given.
The gold reminds us we have a precious gift to offer to our King and the guests He brings.
We seek to live as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Please pray the gold on our shirts is representative of a pure heart as we serve, teach, and encourage the thousands of guests and visitors we have on our tours each year at the Grand Canyon.
