Over the years, we’ve been fortunate to partner with leading creation science organization ICR, on various Institute for Creation Research Grand Canyon Trips.
Our most recent trip with Dr. Tim Clarey and Nate Loper was a huge success, combining Canyon Ministries teaching on the Grand Canyon with Dr. Clarey’s background and knowledge of dinosaurs made for an exciting trip for all.
Be sure to visit our upcoming Grand Canyon River Trips page to see other river trip opportunities we have, as well as creation backpacking adventures, and many daily tours along the rim.
Our recent geology field work with Dr. Steve Austin has been in the investigation and refinement of the Grand Canyon Breached Dam model, sometimes referred to as Lake Spillover. Based on our modeling as well as geological study, we find this model to be the most compelling for the Grand Canyon formation. Information about this can be found in Dr. Austin’s book Grand Canyon, Monument to Catastrophe, published by ICR in the mid 1990s.
Ongoing field work and study in the geology surrounding the Grand Canyon and Colorado plateau in relation to the breached dam model is the subject of our joint-research paper presented in 2022 at the Creation Geology Society, and developed in even more detail at the 2023 International Conference on Creationism (ICC) in Cedarville, Ohio.
Over the years, we’ve also done trips and events with geologist Dr. Steven Austin, formerly with ICR. Dr. Austin is not only extremely experienced and knowledgeable about the Grand Canyon, but the leading creation geologist in field research at Mount St. Helens volcano.
