Answers in Genesis is an apologetics ministry dedicated to helping Christians defend their faith and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. They are known for the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter. For over 20 years, Answers in Genesis has partnered with Canyon Ministries to provide Grand Canyon river trips and various special event tours that highlight creation science and biblical history, offering visitors a perspective that aligns with a Christian worldview.
Over the years, we’ve had many leaders join us on excursions as we explore the Grand Canyon, including Ken Ham, Dr. Andrew Snelling, Dr. Terry Mortenson, Dr. Danny Faulkner, Dr. Georgia Purdom, Dr. Tim Chaffey, Dr. Dana Sneed, Buddy Davis and many more. We’re blessed to partner closely with one of the top creation organizations in the world.
Gloryview Ranch is a retreat center in Parks, Arizona, offering Christian retreats for marriages and families. It was founded by Jon and Kathleen Albert. Jon was executive director for Canyon Ministries for seven years, and though no longer in that role anymore, they are still both part of our Canyon Ministries team for special events. The ranch serves as a great location for hosting your own events or partnering with the ranch for the many programs they can provide. It also serves as a great location for group stays when you cone to Northern Arizona.

The West Institute, situated in Laramie, Wyoming, offers an intensive one-year program dedicated to biblical teaching and theological training. Through rigorous coursework, students delve deep into biblical studies, learning to interpret and apply biblical principles effectively.

Cedarville University is a Christian university in Ohio. Known for its commitment to academic excellence and a vibrant Christ-centered community, Cedarville offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs that integrate a biblical worldview into every aspect of education. Founded in 1887, the university has a rich history of preparing students for lifelong leadership and service through rigorous academics and spiritual growth.
Dr. John Whitmore from Cedarville is on our team of river guides, providing expert geology teaching not only to our guests, but also helping train our guide team for the other tours we do. Canyon Ministries is proud to partner with Cedarville University in providing a 25% tuition discount on any online graduate program or residential MDiv.
Luke5Adventures is a non-profit organization specializing in adaptive hiking for individuals with disabilities. Based on the story of the paralytic in Luke chapter 5 who was brought to Christ though extraordinary means by his friends, they provide outdoor experiences in God’s creation to those who might not otherwise have access to such adventures.
Through the use of specialized wheelchairs and a dedicated team of “sherpas” to help along the way, Canyon Ministries partners with Luke 5 Adventures to offer “trip of a lifetime” backpacking adventures at the Grand Canyon, ensuring that everyone, regardless of physical ability, can experience the beauty and wonder of this natural landmark. Canyon Ministries collaborates with Focus on the Family to offer family-oriented Grand Canyon river trips each year that integrate biblical teachings and family values, enhancing the spiritual and educational experience for families visiting the Grand Canyon.
Located in Los Angeles, California, The Master’s Seminary is a graduate division of The Master’s University, founded by John MacArthur. The seminary is known for its rigorous theological education. For many years, we’ve worked with staff members and professors from the Masters’s Seminary, along with having Dr. William Barrick who served there many years on our river trip team and Board of Directors.
