God Is Still On His Throne
The recent election has driven many Christians to find hope in the assurance that, “God is still on His throne.” In fact, I too expressed this confidence in a Facebook post about 2 weeks before the election. But what does that mean? What are we attempting to express to ourselves and others? Psalm 103:19 says, “The Lord has established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom rules over all.” Jesus says in Matthew 28:18, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.” Paul writes about Jesus
