2022 River Trips Coming Soon!
As we ramp things up here at Canyon Ministries in preparation for our busy spring and summer season, we’re filled with excitement for all the incredible opportunities ahead. Our rim tours, walking tours, and hiking tours at the Grand Canyon are always a highlight, offering guests a chance to experience the canyon’s majestic beauty from a variety of perspectives. But we’re also looking ahead to the river trips—an adventure we hold close to our hearts. Not only are we eager for this season’s trips, but in just a couple of weeks, we will be publishing our highly anticipated 2022 river trip schedule!
We know many of you are waiting in eager anticipation for that announcement, and we’re thrilled to share that it’s right around the corner. Our river trips are truly one-of-a-kind, offering exciting rapids that get your adrenaline pumping, stellar night skies where you can gaze at stars like never before, and incredible hikes that lead to breathtaking views of Native American archaeology and untouched waterfalls. These experiences fill up quickly, often over a year in advance, because the demand is so high, and for good reason. With the limited number of river trips permitted by the National Park Service for companies to run in the Grand Canyon, we wish we could add more trips to accommodate every person who wants to join us. However, that simply isn’t possible every year, as there are only a select few trips available.
But don’t worry! Even if you’re not able to experience a Grand Canyon river trip with us this season or next, we want you to know about other GRAND adventures that are equally worth exploring. This year, we’ve already scheduled several multi-day backpacking trips, and we’ll be adding even more for the fall season. These backpacking adventures provide the unique opportunity to explore various locations within the Grand Canyon, taking you to places that most visitors don’t get to experience. But that’s not all—we’re also planning trips to some of the most spectacular slot canyons and natural arches in Utah, where you’ll discover hidden gems in the heart of the desert.
These adventures are perfect for those seeking a deeper connection with nature, with each trail offering a new perspective on the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Southwest. Whether you’re hiking through the Grand Canyon’s remote wilderness or trekking through the colorful rock formations of Utah, these trips are designed to be both challenging and rewarding, with plenty of opportunities to connect with others and reflect on the beauty of God’s creation.
Make sure to visit our backpacking page to check out the upcoming dates, additional details, and information on these unforgettable adventures. We can’t wait to share them with you!
We know this past year has been incredibly challenging for many families when it comes to travel and vacation plans. Whether it was due to restrictions, uncertainty, or just the general struggles of the times, we understand how difficult it’s been to plan and enjoy a getaway. However, we want you to know that here at Canyon Ministries, we’re still able to run most of our tour operations at the Grand Canyon, and we are more excited than ever to welcome you to one of the most awe-inspiring places on earth.
This spring and summer, we hope you’ll consider joining us for a unique and enriching creation experience at the Grand Canyon. There’s no better way to witness the beauty of God’s creation firsthand than by exploring the canyon’s vast, breathtaking landscapes on one of our educational tours. Whether you’re looking to experience the rim views, hike the trails, or dive into the deep history of the canyon through our guided walking tours, each experience is designed to deepen your understanding of both nature and faith.
Despite the challenges of the past year, we’re committed to ensuring that your time with us is safe, enjoyable, and deeply impactful. We’ve taken all necessary precautions to provide a safe environment while still allowing you to connect with the canyon’s grandeur and God’s glory. Our team is here to serve you, and we’d love for you to join us on this journey.
From all of us at Canyon Ministries, we look forward to the opportunity to meet you wherever you are in your journey. We’re confident that a visit to the Grand Canyon will be an experience you won’t soon forget. Whether you join us in the spring, summer, or at any time in the future, we can’t wait to share this creation adventure with you.
Whenever or wherever, we’d love to see you!
