Forever Family
We often have a phrase we like to use around here, and that’s “forever family.”
With the understanding that this place is not our ultimate destination, but as Billy Graham would say, “I’m just passing through this world,” we have the incredible opportunity to make memories together on this earth—memories that may very well be talked about for eternity. What better GRAND place to make those memories and draw close to our Creator than the grandest canyon on earth?
Olive Garden used to say, “When you’re here, you’re family.” Well, I say, “When you’re here, you’re FOREVER family!”
Whether it’s a river trip down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon, backpacking through Coyote Gulch on a Grand Staircase Adventure, or a 4-hour sunset tour along the rim, every time we gather together in creation, it’s an opportunity to glorify God—the ultimate purpose and heart of what we do. And when we leave this place, it’s not the end—it’s only the beginning!
Over our 26 years of ministry, we’ve met the most incredible people. Sometimes folks just come and go. And sometimes they come again and again and again. One of those incredible folks is our dear friend, Renee Yelton. Many of you will be familiar with her name, as you’ve been privileged in years past to receive one of her beautifully framed photographs for your partnership support of Canyon Ministries.
In this video interview from our most recent 9-day river trip, I sat down with Renee and asked her why she keeps coming on these trips with us and what it means to her. Watch this video to find out…

Nate, we met last night in north Denver . I was looking for a good book that has the information that you shared last night. Your information is tied to evidence, which is the direction that I want to lean.
Paul needed to leave and so we left early. We both enjoyed your presentation very much.
