Who Can Be Against Me
Grand Canyon is a natural wonder. It inspires people from around the world. I could spend a lifetime (and just might, Lord willing) exploring its majesty and never exhaust its beauty and awe. Grand Canyon is more than just a natural phenomenon. Among many others, it trumpets the power and sovereignty of God.
As Jesus neared the end of His time on earth, He announced to His followers that He was about to leave. John records for us that the departure of Jesus was necessary so that He could send the Holy Spirit to ignite and empower the church. Following Jesus’ defeat of death, He ascended on high and sat down at the right hand of God. Just before He returned to the Father, He made this proclamation:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20 NIV)
And because of the truth of His words, we can hold fast to the words in Romans 8:31. “What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?” I needed to here these words today. So I have shared them with you. Canyon Ministries exists for many purposes and God accomplishes much fruit.
